Nawalakw’s vision is to become the first place on earth where Kwak’wala will be spoken again immersively, sparking a revival of language and culture throughout Musgamagw Dzawada’enuxw territory. Markus was initially retained by the Nawalakw Healing Society to develop a business plan for a self sustaining language immersion and guardian facility, experience centre and eco-tourism lodge. He is currently engaged on phase 1 design and construction planning and phase 2 implementation work.
