Nawalakw Community Foundation is an Indigenous-led charitable organization dedicated to language revitalization, cultural resurgence, healing and environmental stewardship in the traditional territory of the Musgamakw Dzawadanuxw peoples. Through a long-term vision, Nawalakw is creating an innovative model that brings together Indigenous knowledge, land-based healing, stewardship and social enterprise to strengthen community resilience and support future generations.
BlueOcean Consulting has worked alongside Nawalakw since 2019 as a long-term strategic advisor, beginning with the development of the Foundation's original business plan and implementation strategy. Since then, our partnership has expanded to include Phase One planning and implementation, Phase Two master planning, organizational development, governance, capital project planning, renewable energy initiatives, funding strategies and the development of Indigenous social ventures that generate sustainable revenue in support of Nawalakw's charitable mission.
Our work continues to support Nawalakw in bringing together culture, stewardship and sustainable economic development to create lasting social, environmental and economic benefits for the Musgamakw Dzawadanuxw peoples.
